Pre-Loan Environmental Assessments

Trident Environmental Consultants is experienced in performing a range of site investigations, including Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, geophysical investigations, risk assessments, remedial investigations, and feasibility studies. These projects are usually performed for owners or potential owners of commercial or industrial properties to find out the extent of potential contamination in their property’s soil, surface water, and/or groundwater. After making a determination, we analyze the risk posed by contaminants to human health and to the environment. We then develop alternatives for cleanup or remediation and evaluate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of each alternative.

Remedial Services

Our capabilities in the area of remedial design include the design and implementation of a range of remedial action programs for soil, groundwater, and surface water. The goal of these programs is to reduce the levels of contamination to a level where they do not pose a significant risk to human health or the environment. Common remedial projects may involve the replacement of leaking underground storage tanks and the proper disposal of contaminated soil. To bring other sites into environmental compliance, more comprehensive measures may be required, such as soil vapor extraction, air sparging, groundwater recovery and treatment, or bioremediation.

Historic Pesticide Contamination

Recent legislation has brought awareness to the fact that past farming activities may still create a health hazard to new developments that have been built on agricultural land. Trident Environmental Consultants has specific experience with sampling, remediating and/or mitigating higher levels of historic pesticides, arsenic and lead.
